As a Principal at Lantern, Mr. Darsa presents 11 years of investment management and investment banking experience. Prior to joining Lantern, he was a partner at Noster Credit, an equity and credit Special Situations investment fund launched in 2011. During his time at Noster Credit, Mr. Darsa was head of research where he oversaw a number of investments across industries and asset classes. Previous to Noster, he was a vice president in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs where he spent seven years. He started his career in Goldman’s London office focusing on financial institutions, and joined the Israeli Group where he participated in the opening of the Goldman Sachs office in Israel followed by joining Goldman Sachs in Paris.
Throughout his career, Mr. Darsa has been involved in a number of significant corporate events, restructurings, mergers and acquisitions and equity/debt capital issuances. He holds a master’s degree in corporate finance and Financial Engineering from Dauphine University, Paris.
Houston Duncan joined Lantern in 2010 and brings 10 years of investment management, financial advisory, capital markets and restructuring experience. His responsibilities include identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, performing transaction due diligence, and working with management teams to implement operational and growth strategies.
Prior to joining Lantern, Mr. Duncan was an investment banking analyst in Rothschild Inc.’s Restructuring Advisory Group in New York, where he was engaged in several debtor-side advisory and restructuring transactions across a broad range of industries.
Mr. Duncan received a bachelor’s degree in business administration in finance, cum laude, from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business.
As a Vice President at Lantern, Mr. Killgore is responsible for identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, performing transaction due diligence and managing existing investments. Prior to joining Lantern, Mr. Killgore was a member of the Financial Restructuring Group at Houlihan Lokey in Dallas, TX. While at Houlihan, he worked on a variety of creditor and debtor-side transactions across a broad range of industries including healthcare, oilfield services, logistics, consumer products and manufacturing.
Mr. Killgore received a bachelor’s degree in business administration in finance, with a specialization in alternative asset management, from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business.
Sebastian Levy, an Associate at Lantern, is responsible for evaluating investment opportunities, performing transactional due diligence and managing existing investments. Prior to joining Lantern, Mr. Levy was a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Nomura Securities in New York. While at Nomura, he worked on a variety of cross-border transactions across a broad range of industries including Food & Beverage, Healthcare and Business Services.
Mr. Levy holds a bachelor’s degree in Government and Mathematics from Dartmouth College.
Prior to joining Lantern, Mrs. Glendenning was a Senior Fund Accountant at the Archon Group, where she managed accounting operations and financial reporting for multiple Whitehall Funds, comprising over $1.1 billion of global investments in commercial real estate, hotels and loan portfolios. She also served as a Senior Accountant for KPMG, within the Assurance and Advisory Services practice through September 2010, specializing in real estate, private equity funds, and sport teams. She began her career at KPMG and her clients included CB Richard Ellis, Houlihan Lokey, Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars.
Mrs. Glendenning is a certified public accountant and received both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business and accounting from the University of Texas at Austin.
Prior to joining Lantern, Mr. Fremder was a Fund Controller at Commerce Street Capital, LLC, where he managed the accounting and finance operations for the organization’s proprietary private equity funds ranging from credit opportunities, banking, lending, and fund-of-funds. He also served as an Assistant Vice President at JP Morgan in their fund accounting group. He managed the accounting for some of the largest pension fund accounts from all over the world in a daily and monthly environment.
Mr. Fremder began his career at StateTrust Capital where he worked his way up from a fund accountant to the manager of the fund accounting operations, which included US 1940 Act mutual and British Virgin Island funds. Mr. Fremder is a certified public accountant and received a Master of Business Administration in Personal Financial Planning, Masters of Science in Taxation, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from the University of Miami.
Bobbi Shaw is an Assistant Controller and joined Lantern in 2012. Prior to joining Lantern, from 2011 until 2012, Ms. Shaw was a Senior Revenue Accountant at Chesapeake Energy, where she analyzed accounting records and business operations to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. She also served as an Advanced Staff Accountant for Cole and Reed, P.C. within the Assurance and Advisory Services Practice from 2009 and 2011.
Ms. Shaw graduated with received a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Oklahoma and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Cindy Liu is a Senior Accountant and joined Lantern in 2014. Prior to joining Lantern, from 2010 to 2014, Ms. Liu was a Senior Accountant for Rothstein Kass, P.C. within the Assurance and Advisory Services Practice, specializing in private equity and hedge funds.
Ms. Liu graduated with a B.A. in Economics with an emphasis on Accounting from the University of California, Los Angeles. She is a Certified Public Accountant.
Prior to joining Lantern, Ms. Oppliger began her career with the Law Offices of Phalen, Bicknell & Markel, serving in client relations and case management. She most recently practiced at a boutique corporate law firm in Dallas, where she later served as their office manager. Past appointments included Bisignano & Harrison, LLP, where she specialized heavily in all facets of estate planning and entity formation and organization.
Ms. Oppliger holds a B.S. from Pittsburg State University.
Amanda Fuller is an Executive Assistant and joined Lantern in 2014. Ms. Fuller is responsible for the day to day activities and operations of the executive team and office. Prior to joining Lantern, she was the Executive Assistant and Property Manager for The Crosland Group, a real estate development company in Dallas, from 2011 to 2014.
Ms. Fuller holds a B.S. from the University of Texas, Austin.
